Phil,
Josh, and Stan have been running meets since 1990 (when our former
swim club purchased its Colorado System 4000 timing system), and
we've been running USS and collegiate championship meets since 1993.
In addition to several team specialty meets, we've managed the following
championship meets:

The
Bowdoin Open, a USS senior-level invitational meet originally
conceived by Phil and run in a trials/finals format at Bowdoin College,
provides high-quality competition each December to athletes from
New England, the Middle Atlantic states, and Canada. Each year,
nearly 30 athletes achieve USS Junior Championship time standards
and as many as 10 athletes achieve USS Senior National time standards.
In 1996, an Olympic Trials cut was achieved at the Bowdoin Open.
Phil, Josh, and Stan were involved with this meet since its inception
in 1993, and provided meet management services between 1994 and
1997. Stan served as Bowdoin Open co-Meet Director between 1993
and 1997.

Training
& Consulting
As
an experienced meet management specialist and a learning professional,
Josh can help you learn the skills you need to plan and operate
your own meets -- from two team dual meets to large championship
meets. In addition, Josh can help you get started using HyTek's
Team Manager II to manage your team's performance data.
HyTek
training for NESCAC coaches. In September 2001, Josh
developed and delivered a training course on HyTek's Team Manager
II for a group of NESCAC coaches. The guide from this course is
available in PJMM's Learning
area.
Meet
Manager training/consulting at Trinity College. During
the fall of 2001, Josh and Lora used a combination of training and
skills coaching to help coaches and volunteers at Trinity College
learn to run dual meets at their pool.
Meet
planning & consulting for NCAC 2002 championships.
In late 2001 and early 2002, Josh worked with coaches and administrators
from Kenyon College to plan and execute their conference championships.
From brainstorming meet management strategies to assisting in the
creation of a Meet Manager database, Josh's involvement helped Kenyon
staff to stage a successful championship meet.
Meet
Manager training at Wellesley College.
During the fall of 2002, Josh planned and taught a training session
on HyTek's Meet Manager software for members of Wellesley's Athletics
department. This session helped Wellesley staff more effectively
supervise the students running home dual meets.
Certification
PJ Meet
Management is now a certified Hy-Tek
Meet Automation Services Contractor.
